The ASICS Gel-Contend 8 features rearfoot GEL cushioning for greater impact absorption, an OrthoLite sockliner for step-in comfort, an AMPLIFOAM midsole for a softer footstrike, and Guidance Line mechanics to encourage a more consistent stride.

At least 20% of the material in the upper is constructed with recycled polyester, while the sockliner is made in a more eco-friendly manner that uses less water and produces fewer carbon emissions.
